TOP REGISTRY ITEMS

These are my top registry items that I recommend adding to yours!

I wouldn’t worry much about being brand specific I chose these products based on a mix of reviews and pricing. I’m a middle of the road kind of girl. I can’t justify spending an arm and a leg sometimes. So I’m a big fan of reliable and affordable.

  1. BABY BREZZA

I know this is biased towards formula moms and IM SORRY. Milking like a cow didn’t work out for me unfortunately. But this device has to have its moment in the spotlight. This is basically a baby keirug. It automatically mixes water and formula creating a perfect bottle every time. You can even adjust the temperature settings. And it only takes seconds to make. And a few seconds fee like like a long time at 3:00am or if there’s a screaming baby in your arms. Trust me.

2. BOTTLE STERILIZER

Okay so this is for everyone. If you’re a freak like me, I sterilised everything for those first few months. Bottles, pump parts, pacifiers, bath toys, everything. If it was going in or around my baby’s mouth it was getting sterilised. Is it that deep? Up for interpretation. But this was an amazing product to have because it also acts as storage and keeps sterile for 24 hours. This is a daily use for me in my household.

3. PORTABLE SOUND MACHINE

Go ahead and plan on taking this everywhere with you. Attach it to your hip or your dang car keys if you must. Babies are accustomed to all the noises inside your body so when they come out replicate the same environment for good sleep! If you use this product with your nap time/bedtime routines they’ll be out like a light when the white noise comes on. And honestly I see myself using this even when my baby grows out of it. It’s great sleep for everyone!

4. HATCH SOUND MACHINE

Yes, another sound machine. SO what. We have two of these. We keep one in the nursery and in the master bedroom. Now with this one you download a free app and all commands to the device come from your phone. There’s different sounds, lullabies, you can set alarms, pre-set durations of sounds, and it works as a nightlight as well! You can choose any color and brightness. Again, all controlled from your phone! This was a blessing during late night feedings I could light up the way before tripping over the laundry I know my husband left on the floor somewhere like a obstacle course for me. He’s always the considerate one!

5. STORAGE CART

This idea came from a tiktok of course. Is it 100% necessary, no. But is it freaking awesome to have and would I have 10 if I could? YES. The rolling cart. The all in one baby shop stop, or whatever you want to call it. You can store diapers, wipes, burp cloths, clothes, your ointments, powders, lotions, etc. If you find yourself thinking “wow this would be convenient if it was always within reach” put it on this thing! I roll mine between rooms during the day as we snuggle or do activities. This totally cancelled out the 10,000 steps I would take otherwise. Actually, on second thought maybe I should get those steps in…. Nahhh. Add the cart!

6. BASSINET

This is a baby-have. Our baby sleeps in our room at night in her bassinet. There are studies that show room sharing with baby decreases risk of SIDS. Also, having baby right there eases the mama mind. Not much, because you’ll still be checking to make sure they’re breathing every 10 minutes. But at least they will be close for feeding and changing. This is a product I definitely looked for affordable rather than quality. As long as baby is sleeping safely I am happy! Two things to look for, mesh siding and I would recommend a bottom storage rack of some sort. I don’t have one and now I do wish I did!

7. BABY MONITOR

Self explanatory! Our baby monitor came with a screen and also streams to my husbands phone so we can both check in on baby simultaneously!

8. BABY LOUNGER

As a newborn your baby sleeps all the time! Slowly their wake window to get longer, but those first few weeks are pretty quiet if you come out unscathed by the infamous colicy baby. This lounger allowed for a designated sleeping space for baby during the day or whole my husband and I were watching tv at night. We would put her between us in her lounger. This product is for supervised sleep only and does have suffocation warnings! But, with safe supervised sleep this product is awesome. We can all lounge together with a special place for baby.

9. MAGNETIC ORGANIZER RACKS

Another life hack I saw on tiktok I feel I should scream from the rooftops! These racks are magnetic and can attach to the sides of your refrigerator. I store my clean/ready to use bottles on these! As a bonus it also comes with a rack with hooks on it. Perfect for hanging pacifiers! I was able to create a whole feeding station with these and the baby breeza close together on the counter.

10. BABY ESSENTIALS

Don’t forget the basics! You can add boxes of wipes and diapers. Ointments, lotions, baby soap, baby laundry detergent, bottle soap, bottle scrubber, different types of medicine used for babies, etc! I recommend adding different brands of pacifiers and bottles as well. I have a healthy mix of Dr. Brown’s and Advent bottles from my registry! You find your preference as you use the products. I’m a Dr. Brown’s / pampers mom myself. With respect to all the other brands of course! Reminder to also add blankets, crib sheets, bassinet sheets, etc. You can look at different types of swaddles and burp clothes. There’s a lot of baby essentials now that I’m thinking about it. Here’s the category in sub categories:

Diapers and wipes

Medicines, pacifiers,

Soaps, ointments, lotions

Baby safe cleaning items

Feeding accessories, burp clothes

Blankets, sheets, swaddles

11. NETS

Let me explain, I had my baby in the middle of summer in the south. There was one thing trying to actually eat me and my baby and that was the mosquitoes. I added two nets to my registry. One that was portable that can fit on strollers and pack and plays and the other they stays on the bassinet! I also have cats. If you have cats that needs no further explanation. If you don’t, they are always in places they shouldn’t be aka ALL the baby stuff. So for safe sleep around out pets we added the net for the bassinet as well! These were really good additions they we use very frequently.

All these products are in no particular order! I added the links to the products I got from my registry, but as I stated before choose whichever brand speaks to you and is easy on your wallet.

Happy baby shower planning everyone!

Much love,

Z-Mom

An afterthought I had after posting, put items you will use in the furure on your registry! Don’t just think about the newborn stage. Add high chairs, bath seats, play mats, etc!
